Will: "No, let's make funny lips.
Livi: (doing some funky 70's dance moves) "oh yeah, that looks fun!"
Both: "No, pull your lips. That is always funny." Where do they get that pulling lips is funny? Somewhere in my head I hear some old woman, probably my grandma saying, "Quit doing that, your lips will stay that way!"
Will: "Take a bow, we are almost done." I must have gotten that look that today is not the day to get a cute picture. Also I think they heard the timer go off. Mike set a timer to go off at 8AM.....the time we have to be heading out the door for Will to get to school on time.
Both: Yeah we are done!
I was going to get all sappy on this because yes, Mike is gone for another holiday. But I am not all that hormonal. So I will save it for another one!
On the sleeping issues with Liv: tonight it was only two times in 42 minutes until she was sleep!!! I did take her nightlight out of her room. I have not ordered blackout blinds, but I have ghettoed up her room with a wool blanket over the window. Because it is so heavy, it is putting a hole in the drywall. But DUDE, she is sleeping!!!
I was going to make it a drinking game and take a sip of a wine every time she came out of her room. I camp out on a chair in front of her door...BUT she came out 22 times in about a 2 hour period the other night. I would be lit by 9PM on that schedule. So I will stick to catching up on the magazines.

LOL!!! If you did that, she would have been putting you to bed!!! My boys use to get up in the middle of the night and stand by my bed and just stare at me. I would wake up because of that and it would scare the total bejesus out of me, thank God they have out grown that!!!
Liv's outfit is adorable! Happy Fourth!
Oh, I hope you don't mind me posting. I was looking for blogs just like this. I want to see family friendly blogs because some of those out there are just horrid and wretched, and I definitly do not want to read those. And I guess I am a little flattered about the scrapbook layout that was lifted. My only point was, that if it were me, I would have given the person that I scraplifted, credit for their amazing work. Girl, I am so over it now, it wasn't a biggie!!!
Very cute! I'm sure your husband loves being able to see them while he is gone.
Have a great holiday!
I like the idea of taking a picture in front of the same door every time. Even if they are silly you can see their height. Very cool.
I don't know how you do it.....
Have a wonderful 4th!!
OMG! Those kids are too freaking cute.

Miss ya!
I love Livi's skirt--did you make it?
head hen- I got it from the lady that makes her bows. She sells on Ebay but actually lives here. Her husband is in the military as well, last summer we bot got stationed here. Believe it or not the skirt and the shirt were only $23. It is made from an Old Navy skirt, so it kind of hangs on her. It is pretty simple to make. I made her some out of pants for Halloween last year. Email me if you would like the directions.
Thank you for husband for me.
Happy Fourth.
Thank you for your faith and courage.
Blessings to yourlittle ones.
We have been having a few sleep issues but mine will go to bed just fine, she just wakes up around 2am "scared" but of what? I don't know. We just rock her until she falls back to sleep because I will never, ever just make her lie back down when she is scared. That just breaks my heart.
Just remember "this too, shall pass". It is frustrating when they get into some funky sleep pattern though. I had such high hopes that after we passed 2 things would get ever so much better but .... oh well I guess they could be a LOT worse! LOL
I think they are cute! You are capturing their essense :)
