Photohunt: It's a SAD sad world

Okay, this picture totally cracks me up every time I see it. We had just moved to Leavenworth at the time. It was just a little walk around the ball park to a little duck pond that was on the golf course. We thought it would be fun to use some stale hamburger buns to feed the ducks. We stopped on the dock to watch some kids fish, then walked around to the other side to see the ducks.

Husband pulled the first bun out of the baggie and tossed a piece to the ducks (thinking Will would do the same). Will flipped out! In his best whiny two year old voice, he hollered, "MY bread!" He was ready to go dive into the water to get his bread back. I was lucky enough to catch this Kodak moment.

Needless to say, we didn't feed the ducks any more of HIS bread. He ate the rest of it on the walk back to the house. It took a few more trips to watch the ducks before he would feed them.
This is a "vintage" Tuesday Update post from Feb '07. But I think of it when I think of sad.

That's too funny to be sad! Little ones have a different perspective of a lot of things, don't they...

When my kids were little, I took a few photos of them crying, to show them when they got bigger what a pain they could be, lol.

I have mine up today, too. I hope you can visit and leave your link!

I love this story, what a great "vintage" post! I have added you to my roll, the OU game is about to start so appropriate I would read your blog at this time! I just saw your profile and When Harry Met Sally is my fav too. I was tagged and have a post about quirky things today. My movie list is on it..check it out and if there are others we like the same!

Poor Will. I've seen kids attacked by the geese at our park, so I was sure that's what this story was about.

He's changed so much! What a cutie. He still is.

Ian used to try to eat the bread for the ducks when he was tiny.
