Kristine at Random and Odd. has a new challenge for this week .....insert drum roll here....BEHIND....take it how you want it....
just a few definitions:
be·hind –preposition
1. at or toward the rear of: Look behind the house.
2. not keeping up with, later than; after: behind schedule.
3. in the state of making less progress than: We can't afford to fall behind our competitors.
4. on the farther side of; beyond: behind the mountain.
5. originating, supporting, or promoting: Who's behind this program?
That big orange one is the one I am chosing to post about today....I give you my behind.
Tuesday Updates started when I had Will. He was born on a Tuesday. I kept a weekly scrapbook of him. It is a small 6X6 album. Each week I would take a picture of something big that happened. The page of him and Husband below was the first time he had ever said dad. I was changing his diaper, Husbandwalked in from work and peeked his head in his room, and Will said, "Hey, Dad!" He was about 6 months old!! Since I already had the pictures, I would email friends and family near and far of our precious little boy. Yes, every Tuesday I emailed ....in the subject line I would put "Tuesday Update". Will was the first grandchild on Husband's side. They live in OH, we were in OK. So these weekly emails were just a little something so they could keep in touch with us.
So, when Livi was born, I started one for her. I had great intentions. I took a million pictures a week. Yes, I had two kids under 16 months of age...but I kept up with it for the most part.
Then we moved from CA to KS...only there a year....then moved again to TX....so now my poor baby girl is now almost 2 1/2. Here is the final entry in her Saturdays with Olivia.
Can you read that down in the corner?? Nope....look a little closer..
Yes, my dear friends, that says "thirty-five weeks"...almost nine months. So I am behind not just a little bit.....BUT nearly two years!! I had big plans of catching up while Mike was deployed...but yeah right, that is so not happening!! So, maybe when she is in preschool I will finally have time.....until then.
happy Friday, y'all!

I AM ALL CAUGHT UP.
I AM!
What a great idea! I can see how you would get behind though. I'm forever trying to get caught up on the Lifebooks I am doing for my two kids!
Happy SPF! Thanks for stopping by mine!
I hear you on this one... I started a scrapbook for JellyBean just before he was born. You know... in that 'There is no way that I can move' stage... sice having him I have collected the photos and such, but haven't actually done another page. So slack! You did well to go to as far as you did!
I currently have a scrapbook started for everything, one for birthdays, one for vacations, one for school, etc. I am so far behind I don't think it will be possible to catch up.
I played.
That was a clever idea using dictionary definition! Very cute scrapbooking. I started my son's and stopped when I went back to work. Sigh....he is now 18 and retirement is no where in sight so I can get caught up.
I played too.
awwww how cute
Happy spf :)

Those books are too cute! Poor Olivia, tho, all behind! I'm sure you'll catch up sooner or later.
I absolutely love your scrapbooks! And this will sound silly to some, but you have fantastic handwriting. I'm jealous. Good post!
LOVE it! I've been meaning to do something like that (I was thinking once a month, but I really like your once a week thing better...).
My Aunt kept a daily journal of her daughter's life, but she only had the one child. Mine get daily baths and that's about all I can manage (yes, meals, too!) :)
Thanks for the inspiration.
It seems like I am always behind on my scrapbooking, too. Great SPF! Thanks for stopping by.
Very cool idea.
Thanks for stopping by!
Maybe you should just start over ;-)
That little weekly update scrap book is such a good idea though, and so cute!!
I played too :-)
Kami is such an over-achiever! ;)
I however, finished Jenelle's baby book when she was 2, and I haven't done any since. In fact, my last stop was Jack's 2nd birthday... he's 6! ARGH!
Kami-You are my hero!! I dream of the day...I just want the first year finished!
jenni-I like how you called them "lifebooks".
jd's rose-thanks! I try not to worry about it too much. It will get done one day.
wendy- I like that idea of individual ones!
s&s-I wish I could have work as an excuse!!
christie-thanks, I kind of like them!
jenn-she goes to preschool next year...I'll have time then...I think!
jenny b-thanks! I was a teacher before having two kids in two years.
head hen-that is what I did for year two with the older one...his second year monthly one is the one that is behind for him...he is almots four!
suzanne r-does anyone ever get caught up?? Besides Kami I mean!!
ktlee-I saw in Simple Scrapbooks while I was preggo and thought "I can do that!" ha!
arlene-I have thought about doing that from now, but still finishing her baby one.
kelly- I bet that was a good feeling to get it done. I would hate to hand her her book when she gets older like it is now!!
Well, at least you have a great start! I don't think we as mothers are EVER caught up.
nice photos... and I understand how you can get "behind" with this ;)

uahhhhh, so cute pics. I love it. Happy SPF
it seems to always happen with the second...and man, you moved so much it's totally understandable :-)
Trust me...I feel your pain!!! As a person who takes pictures for a living, I am amazed at how quickly I can get behind in the editing part of the job!! I must say that you had an excellent idea...I am sure you can get back on track in no time:-)
The pics look great! Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! They look great! You're so talented! And I'm so jealous!
