a beautiful day in the neighborhood

How can you not be outside when it is like this? Blue skies, scooters, bikes....and silly kids.

BTW, we had someone come do a second look this morning. I had planned on getting some extra sleep after the kids went to preschool. ( I am coming down with a cold or something)....but the realtor called. Maybe I should make plans to sleep in every day! We didn't hear anything, so I guess they choose the other house. But it is good to know that our house was in the top two. They did want to move in in late May. We told them we had to stay at least until the end of the school year (late May). We would have had to move into one of those home-tels until we got housing in KY....but at this point, if the house sells, I will dance naked in the streets......oh wait, that might be a bit extreme, but you get my drift!

Happy Thursday, y'all!

I love these close-up images of playing outside. It shocks me sometimes how few children do this anymore. The collage style of your presentation is appealing, too.

Thanks for dropping by my Project Yellow post from Anna's link.

patti-This is a military town, every summer thousands and thousands of families are PCSing (Army speak for moving) here. Our realtor alone has sold over 550 homes in the last year. I am confident it will sell. So right now, families are visiting to see what is available. We do the same thing each time we move if we make the decision to live off post. Depending on the quarters offered on post, we decide if we want to buy a house or not. Here, the quarters for his rank were old and small....so we bought. I don't think towns with military bases/posts are being hit as hard as other places.

Hi Tommie! Long time, girl! I'm so glad that I wondered in here from Phyllis'-- your children are beautiful! I will make sure to drop by often.

And I agree with what you said about the housing market in military towns!

We, too are getting ready to PCS to KS.

Have a great weekend!

The naked dance? Wow.

I fell your pain. We've sold our house twice in the last year (well, two different homes). What a relief when that's over.

Gorgeous photos.

I love Livi's lady bug dress - how beautiful - and her toes! Did she go with you? Or does she do them herself??

I'd love to see you dancing naked in the streets - do we have a guarantee on that?? I'm excited for you. I've been trying to figure out what town in Kentucky and what that will be like for you - I'm certain you'll make it wonderful.

Great photos of a wonderful spring day. I hope your house sells quickly. I'm guessing you're going to Fort Know. My mother was from the "hills of Kentucky" a few miles outside of Hazard. Have a great weekend!
