manic monday

Answers to Lisa's Manic Monday. Here's what she has this week:

Which sex do you think has it easier in our culture? Have you ever wished you were the opposite sex? I think that it’s about the same for both. No, I have never wished to be a man.

What books from your childhood would you like to share with your children? Of hand, I can't wait until they are old enough for chapter books. Summer_of_the_Monkeys is one of my favorites. When I was teaching, I always read that one to the kids.

What is one talent or skill you don’t possess but always wanted? The talent to make those lush backyards that are always in BH&G. and on that note, a little flower just for you:

Oh, gorgeous flowers!

I hate being given plants. It's embarrassing. I can kill it in record time. No talent in that area and I really would like to be good at the whole gardening thing. Never read Summer of the Monkeys. Have to ask my girls about it and make a recommendation if they aren't familiar.

Awesome shot! You've NEVER wished to be a man? Me neither (okay, maybe except during labor). :)

Pretty flower. I probably have this gardening talent, but I don't put it to use. I wish I could give it away. I would give you it. I prefer my flower beds to be lush with mulch...only mulch.

I have a huge yard - but have a hard time making it lush and beautiful - I want to do that too! Have a good Tuesday, Tommie.

Beautiful flowers!

I've always said that I'm coming back in my next life as a tall thin man.

How is it that I've never heard of that book before? I'll have to check it out.

so good to be back visiting your blog! It seems I may have missed out on a bit since I last dropped by. I'll just take a little time to catch up! Nel

Oh I wish I had a green thumb. But I don't have the patience it would take.

I'm terrible with plants. I got an indoor Christmas Cactus to bloom once and that's about the whole of my accomplishments. Those flowers are charming though, what are they?

I love gardening, I wish I didn't have to leave my gardens every three years. Though it is fun taking a place and leaving it prettier.

The flowers are beautiful! No i've never wanted to be a man either although I sort of feel they have it easier sometimes.

Ohhhh, I'd love to have a green thumb, too. I'd also love to have interior decorator talent. I don't understand texture or scale or placement, and I sooooo wish I did.

I found #1 a difficult question to answer! Love your flower pic :-)

I don't have a green thumb either. Hubs sorta does but I would adore a lush backyard garden.

Oh I wish I had a green thumb! I have not landscaping abilities whatsoever.

i share that gardening wish with you! i can not grow anything. I have the black thumb, the kiss of death for plants and my backyard looks like hell.

I found #1 to be a difficult question to answer and I'm the one who asked it. ;-) I'd never want to be a man, no way!

Your flower photo is lovely-- it's good to see a bit of color during the drab winter here.

Thanks for playing, Tommie. Hope your week is a great one!
