Photostory Friday-the Little People are getting big

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

A year ago the kids were very much into the Little People sets. They still play with it, but not as much. Those chubby little hands aren't cluthing Mary or the angel. The camel isn't with Will at all times.

Now more likely than not, Livi has a Princess polly pocket in her hands.

I will continue to pull this toy out each year during the Christmas season. It will be one of the few toys we keep. I recently tried to Freecycle some of the kids' toys. Will wanted to keep them for "his little boy". So while the kids might be growing up...the Little People are here to stay.

Happy Friday, y'all

We have that set too and I LOVE it!!! It'll be one I put out long after my kids start rolling their eyes at it! :)

There are some toys that you must always keep. Like Little People.
I believe it's a commandment.

The good thing about little people? You can't vacuum them up. Bad thing about polly pockets? They can be vacuumed up! :)

oh we used to have so many of those sets - I sold them all at a garage sale when baby girl was 2 months old - luckily she's never been interested in them - skipped right over to Polly! Damn those little shoes!

Aww! Will wanted to keep them for his kids? How sweet! We love little people around here too. We have so many.

We also did some clearing out of the toys. Every year around Christmas we go through and gather as much stuff as we can let go of and donate it to a family in need. It's great to pass on the toys to kids who can use them again. This year I gave away 3 deluxe diaper boxes full, 2 grocery bags full and a few too large to fit in anything toys. That's a lot of stuff!

Have a great weekend!!

My mom still has the WOODEN Little People my brother & I played with as kids, and now our kids play with them. Of course, growing up, we didn't have a dog that liked to EAT Little People...By the way, I need your address and need to know what name/initial you want on the ornament you WON in my 300th Post Giveaway! :)

It just makes me sad that they are SO different from the Little People of my childhood.
I need to find some of those and set up a vintage display... if I had the room in my messy house!

I love that you are saving some things for the kids though. I wish I had stuff from my childhood.
You're a GREAT Mom!

I think The Little People is a good pick to keep. My MIL kept my husband's little people and my daughter just LOVE pulling them out.

I love, love, love, love Little People. And I so want to buy the Nativity set. For me! Because my kids have never been into the Little People and they never get played with :(

It's neat how already Will is thinking of passing on the pleasures of his childhood to a future son . . .
