unattended laundry

Cartoon by Dave Walker. Find more cartoons you can freely re-use on your blog at We Blog Cartoons.

Husband has been gone for almost three weeks, you would think that would result in less laundry in this house. No, not necessarily. We wake up to needing to wear cooler weather clothes: pants, long sleeves, etc.

But then by the afternoon it is sun shiny and warm.....ding ding ding, outfit number two. Then of course if you are a princess or think you are a princess, you need to at least change one more time in a twenty four hour period.

Oh yeah, it is dinner time, oops, you spill ketchup on one teeny tiny speck on your shirt. Most would think "Oh, no problem, it is almost bath time. Just keep it on." But someone who shall remain nameless is clearly not thinking like that. She goes in her room, tugs at an outfit that she can't quite reach and pulls hard enough for it to pop off the hanger.

Ding ding ding , outfit number three or possibly even four by this time!

I don't know if my 'one load a day' can keep up with one certain four-outfit-per-day princess!

Happy Friday, I have laundry to go do!

I ask myself all the time how it is possible that three people can generate so much laundry! What the heck . . .

I've spent the last 3 weeks trying to catch up with the laundry. I decided that I wouldn't be "allowed" to do a pink load until I was all caught up .. my little mind game with myself.

But you know what? I've finally come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as being caught up (unless we all walk around naked for a couple of days) ... especially when SB gets 2 drops of water on his sleeve while washing his hands and decides he needs a new shirt.

Yeah, I do one load a day too...one CONTINOUS load. For all the reasons you named too. lol. I suppose we'll be sad when we truly do have no laundry to do.

Our laundry always seems to pile up exponentially and it's only me and hubby! Lord help us when we add kiddos to the mix!

Have a great weekend, Tommie. :)

Ha Haaaaa just so happens hub-at-home is charged with going through my Princess' room and rounding up all dirty laundry from multiple clothes changing and doing it before I get home from work today. That will change of course in mere weeks but i'm enjoying it while I can.
What IS it with kids and clothing changes? Gah. We need to teach them how to do laundry as soon as they are old enough. That will put the kibosh on THAT soon enough I think! LOL

I'm sending you my "laundry be done" magic wand...

Lol I love the graffic! I have to admit though that I don't really mind doing the laundry. I just hate folding/hanging up the clothes after they are clean.

We have this experience and there's only two of us! lol! It was so crazy that we got those low water front loaders. AND STILL... very sad. My D is the same - one outfit to workout, one for work, one when you get home, jeans at night.... (shaking head). Soon you'll have to teach them both how to do the laundry.

Any weekend plans? :)

I do several loads a day, and it's really just the two of us. Where does it come from?
