Fort Worth Zoo

Fort Worth Zoo, originally uploaded by tommiea1.

I am kind of doing things out of order.....we did the zoo second, but these shots were so much more fun to edit!

We were on Spring Break last week, hence the hiatus. We did a little fun trip to the D/FW area, then to my mom's home.....otherwise known as the land of no internet....NOT even dial up.

We spent a gorgeous morning at the Fort Worth Zoo. We had a great time, had some balmy weather, and no crowds. It pays to have kids who get up at the a$$ crack of dawn. We were ready and waiting when they opened the turnstiles.

On another note: we listed our house last week. So let's begin the time of leaving the house in show-quality order! We had someone come by today (of couse it was during Livi's nap time) but Will and I just went out back. Fingers crossed that it sells before we leave in July/August time frame!

Happy Monday to y'all too!

I love the pics, but I have to say what grabs me most is my envy of your amazing weather. Today, we got a flash snow storm in the middle of the day and once again, the ground here is covered with the white stuff. Bring on Spring!

I'm such an idiot...I thought, "What in the heck were they doing that close to a croc?" I think I need to take up coffee as a habit.

P.S. Good luck with selling the house, keeping it "show quality perfect" all the time with kids is so frustrating...you have it done up so cute that hopefully it will sell quickly!

I need to know about those sunglasses on what...a gator? hippo? I can't tell!
Good luck on the house!

Welcome back Tommie! Glad you had a good time. I love those sunglasses, I definitely had to take a double take on that one!

I think it was some kind of komodo dragon or something. They had these cool sculptures all over the zoo.

Those are Livi's glasses. I am sure they are from Target or Walmart. I quit getting her the ones at Janie and Jack, Gymboree and Gap because she loses them too often!

The zoo pictures are great - I'm glad you had a wonderful time.

You're not moving across country are you? Do you plan to stay in Texas? Good luck on selling your home.

As for sunglasses, I'm afraid I'm like Livi, I just buy ones at Marshall's or Ross - that way I don't despair when I "leave a pair" behind somewhere...

What a fun trip! How was your mom? I do love the zoo - we live right next to one. I could tell you funny stories about the animals getting out - and they do! D. won't go because he feels like the animals are trapped there. Ah well....

Hurray for listing the house. I bet it will sell fast - and then off to Kentucky. Yippee!

I swear I could come to your blog for the pics alone- even if you never wrote another word. Your photos are so alive - especially these two collages. Glad you guys had such a fun Spring break!! Good Luck with the house...
