rain rain go away and a manic Monday

rain rain go away, originally uploaded by tommiea1.

The time change really threw the kids for a loop. First, they wanted to go to bed about thirty minutes early. (meaning an hour and a half early). That alone should have been my sign. But no, I think I was just exhausted from the long day, that I gave in to their wishes.

Next, they did go to sleep rather easily. Though I did have to ghetto up Livi's window with a princess blanket. She said "uuhh, there is sunshine!"...No problem. I seem to recall doing this last year.

Finally the clincher came at 2:30AM when BOTH kids were awake. I even walked in once on Will playing his Leapster! About 6AM, both kids got back to sleep. There is no way in my right mind I would wake them up at 7:30 to get them ready for school. It's just preschool! They finally got up at 9, well rested and not crabby.

So we dug out some of our Easter decorations....this little chick and bunny, some springy placemats, some pastel dishes.

Just a little bit of something to perk things up since it is a rainy day!

Hosted by the lovely Lisa , Manic Monday:

What's your favorite thing to spend money on? the kids, house, clothes
If you could retire tomorrow what would you do? Can you retire from being a stay at home mom? I would go to a spa do the mongo package.
Should anything be censored and if so, what and why? I was just thinking about this this afternoon. Some weird freak keeps 'favoriting' pics of the kids on my Flickr. Seems like there should be some boundary on that. I already mark the ones of them in bathing suits and stuff as private. I guess I will have to be a tad more diligent in what I put on there. Seems sad but I guess pervs are going to look anyway.
Happy Monday, y'all.

That is weird about the Flickr photos. Do you know who it is? Could it be your hubby? or his friends? or family? I always think these things... and am usually wrong! ;)

You do deserve a spa day - maybe in Kentucky?

You cant even retire from being mom when they are 24 and 25! They still need momma and dad! Cute chick and bunny! Thanks for the info for bday. I like the velvet box thing for the desk! That will be it with a new suit! Also got tickets to "Rent"... Wed night! Never too late to get tickets

I know what you mean about the flickr favorites. I had a couple of preggie pics public and it was kind of weird to see them "favorited". Same for the kids. So true, you have to be careful. I love your Easter decorations.

Yep, the time thing had the opposite affect on my kids last night - no one could go to sleep and then they were all dragging this morning. It always sucks that first week or so. We got rain today - YIPPIE! I liked your pictures!

Have a good Tuesday -see you later. Kellan

My kids had the opposite reaction. They have been staying up later! Ugh!

Hopefully they will be adjusted in a couple of more days!

Tatum really had a hard time with the "light" yesterday but tonight I let her take a little cat nap in the car home from Grammys and she didn't do down until 8 so it was great today - I have a blanket to hang up tomorrow - we will have to work on the windows! haha

Hope it gets easier for you too!

The mongo package and pervs are making me laugh. You're funny.

Thx for your comment on my blog. It's always nice to see a new face. You mentioned funnel cakes. You know, I looked for them and couldn't find them. I don't get it. *scratching my head* I was truly bummed.

I'm over it now. Happy day to ya!
