Thursday 13....number fifteen.....things I should have on hand for thenext bout of flu

tu trees first week 004, originally uploaded by tommiea1.

1. pedialyte

2. pedialyte pops

3. dry chicken noodle soup mix.

4. saltines

5. ginger ale

6. lots of laundry soap ( I think I did more than ten loads today.)

7. spare mattress pad liner

8. lots of coffee *for me, not the kids*

9. Pumpkin Spice creamer *for above coffee

10. white rice

11. jello *for the kids not for shots*

12. pretty much any bland tasteless food

13. spare pillows - because it is so not worth it to try to wash the icky ones.

The whole barf, bath, load of laundry thing lasted almost 12 hours straight. He is feeling much better now. I am thankful only Will had this.

Dang if Febreeze isn't my new best friend though!

Happy Thursday y'all

pic taken last fall when we had trees that really did change colors.

Always the thinker. Febreeze is awesome, isn't it?

Yep, that should cover it but I think we should have a little extra jello on the side for shooters. The kids have to go to bed sometime!! Happy TT.

I remember once when both kids had the flu and I don't think there was a clean sheet, towel or pair of pajamas in the entire house! Then I got sick and just made more laundry. I was sure my life was over --- but here I am 9 years later! And I'm still haunted by it!!
Happy TT -- hope everyone is well now!

Great list! After our last bout I now keep strawberry jello cups (the only flavor SB will eat) in the fridge at all times.

Sounds like you need a break!

Hope he's feeling better soon, and that nobody else gets it. With 5 people in my house, things like that tend to go from one to another.
Happy TT!

The trees were gorgeous last year!

10 loads of laundry is way too much in one day. Isn't Febreeze awesome? :)

I think your wind blew the flu up here to Dallas. We just got over it, too. And, there is some point when you just wanna say, "Screw it. Sit in your own vomit. Mommy's done with the washer."

Oh, poor thing! I know it stinks for the kids when they're sick, but it's so hard on the mom, too!

Great list, though. That coffee cream sounds good. Maybe I should try it. ;)

Happy Thursday! I sure hope the bout is over and done w/ for your home!

I'm sorry you've been going through all that - and so glad he is better. I liked your list (case I ever need it!) - I like Hazelnut creamer though (am ADDITCTED to that stuff) and I'm right there with you about the Febreeze! See ya.
